The house is within a fully fenced plot – in fact the fence is beautiful balustrading so that you are enclosed yet can see out.  Situated within 3 miles of a lovely local town which has all the facilities that you need day to day, this home is private yet connected to local living.  There is room to park up to 4 cars, easily, within the car port, garage and neat paved driveway.

You are just a few miles from Cela which is a natural spring fed thermal pool, which stays at 25 degrees c year around.  Tijola and Seron are just a stones throw away.  Albox is the local market town and is 30 minutes from this home.  A trip to the beach would take just 60 minutes.  Traffic is almost unheard of in Tijola and the surrounding area.  You are more likely to encounter the local goat herd or a tractor heading to the local olive grove or fruit tree orchard.

The house itself is around 150 years old yet you’d never know due to the care and attention afforded to the renovation by the current owners.  It has been renovated and styled to a very high standard, it would not be out of place in a glossy magaine.  If you fall in love with it, as I did, I think I could convince the owners to leave all the furnishings for you to enjoy.   This really is a turn key property.  You don’t need to do a thing.

The walled garden includes a pool and sunbathing area next to a gorgeous outside in area striaght off the kitchen.  The garden wraps around the house on two sides leading to the car port and garage.  Further on again is a private courtyard with pretty wall planters which is directly off the master suite.  Boy is the master suite good!  I will tell you more about that later.

Going into the house from the front door you go into the generous kitchen space with 2 built in double ovens, induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer and built in washing machine.  Plenty of space to include a kitchen table or you may prefer to use the homely and impressive dining room which is down a small step from the kitchen.  Before we head to the dining room let me tell you about the lounge snug.  It’s also accessed directly from the kitchen via a small step down.

The lounge/snug is cosy with a woodburner taking pride of place in a corner.  The luxurious sofas, lamps and soft furnishings make the lounge super sumptuous.  You may like to open the double doors out to the pool and wander in and out as you enjoy the pool and views beyond.

Going the other way from the kitchen you enter the dining room down a shallow step.  It currently contains a rustic stylish dining table seating 8 comfortably.  An even larger table could fit if you like to entertain and impress your friends.  The dining room also has double doors out to the courtyard and garden, perfect for the warm weather.  We really do have 30 days or less rain each year.

Moving on from the dining room there is an attractive downstairs bedroom of a generous size.  Double or king size bed sit comfortably amongst other furniture.  The window lets in the lovely mediterranean light.

Back to the edge of the dining room and up five steps to the remainder of this spectacular house.

At the top of the five steps, edged with typical Andalucian tiles you find the family bathroom.  The large shower has double sliding doors giving plenty of space for couples or parent and child showers, or maybe you just like plenty of elbow room.  A loo and basin with large mirror complete the look.

Directly in front of the head of the stairs is bedroom 2.  Bedroom 2 has a terracotta theme with huge built in wardrobes in addition to other storage furniture.  Light streams in via the fanlight window.

Did I mention the traditional beams – like a mini barrel vaulted ceiling?  These are throughout the main portion of the house bringing a real sense of tradition and honouring the history of this home.

Moving on from bedroom 2 you find the extensive, light and spacious master suite.

Not content with a walk in wardrobe with wall to wall, floor to ceiling shelving there is also a further cupboard currently in use as a vanity unit and storage area.  The bedroom itself is huge, the colours set off the superb choice of textures and furnishings.  When you are looking at the picture remember that the bed is super king size.  You’d never know that it was formally a goat pen.

The walk in wardrobe is beyond the main bedroom and then the glamourous yet neutral bathroom is beyond that.  Used solely by the master suite its like a spa in your own home by the nature and choice of the fittings and accessories.

There is a beautiful secluded courtyard outside the master suite which is accessed from the master suite.
