There are three parts:  Main house where downstairs is old fashioned but very liveable,  Upstairs has lovely high ceilings and windows looking out to the rolling countryside beyond.

Older house – traditional cortijo with a large front patio

Garage/Workshop- with metal doors and sufficient space for 6/7 cars, probably more.

Access is good,  the last 3oo metres is unpaved but hardpacked and any car will safely arrive at the house.

The property stands on 500 metres and more land is available to the front of the house.  You could add a pool, garden or grow fruit and olives.

Of stone construction with the thick walls that you would expect of a property of this age which really do help keep the temperature inside stable.  Warm enough in Winter.  Cool enough in Summer.

Mains water and mains electric are at the property and both remain connected.

Lets go inside

The front door is situated in the centre so you enter into a hall way with large bedrooms off to either side.  Nice high ceilings and the wooden doors and windows in a traditional Andalucian style.

Further in is a further large bedroom and family bathroom.

To the right is a very large living room – approximately 15 metres long and 5 wide.

The kitchen is to the rear of the lounge.  Whilst it isn’t a shaker style with marble worktops it is functional, just of a more 1990’s style.  Good to get you going though.  Behind the kitchen is a pantry.

To the side of the kitchen and behind the family bathroom is a large inner courtyard which would be great for entertaining.  There is another bathroom and a utility/ outdoor kitchen on the far side of the courtyard.

Upstairs

There is a lot of history upstairs, the racks where peppers (pimientos), tomatoes (tomates) and sausages (morcilla and chorizo) would have been dried and cured are still in place.

There are some lovely water jars and stand for when the water would have been brought from the spring or Acequia (water channel).  Even some pieces of braided esparto which were used to form cheeses.

The wooden roof beams seem strong, there is no sign of weakness in the roof during our visit to list the property.  Feature wooden beam would look spectacular in the living area that you create upstairs.   If this were my property I would either turn it into two large apartments, one up and one down or keep it as a house but put a living room on the upper floor.

Garage/Workshop

This is accessed along the side of the main house, the access is a little overgrown but would be quickly resolved in a matter of hours.   The metal doors open into the narrower end but even this is not narrow.  It is some 6x 10 metres so perfect to house a car collection, archery range etc.
